In the processions of the Carnival of Ottana, it is often possible to meet the figure of Sa Filonzana, a female character embodying numerous popular beliefs about weavers and spinstresses.
Worn by a man because women were not allowed to take part in these rites, this mask is quite similar to that of Merdules, with its rigid features.
